The actual pocket is 4 inches in length and 2 1/2 inches in width. It fits my house key, as well as some folded cash, my small gym pass card, and my pad lock key. All I really need. However, it does not fit a standard credit card. The card actually does just fit inside, but the velcro will NOT be able to close. So that credit card and anything else could fall out. Put only small items inside (3 inches in length max) and the velcro closes securely. It can actually hold my folding car key, but then that made for a big bump on my wrist with that inside and wasn't too comfortable. Another minor negeative, the reflective stripe on the wallet isn't that reflective--rather dull. I have used this extensively for 4 months and the elastic band has lost some of its tightness, but it still works fine. Velcro still does its job. I always wear this at the gym since my shorts have no pockets. Definitely got my money's worth out of this and continue to use it. Great bang for the buck.

The velcro closure could not be secured when I placed my Debit card and Id. Both cards protruded past the beginning of the strip Velcro, so there was maybe one quarter of an inch left of velcro material to "close" - which of course isn't adequate for that to happen.
And since the Velcro isn't closed with the cards inside, I certainly cannot feel secure then putting any keys or cash, since there is no secure "seal".
This Runners World Wrist Wallet is going back.

I have found this to be quite handy. Is there really a need to carry a purse each time one goes out? Even to the grocery store, all it takes is a credit card! This lessens the concern about theft. It's handy and convenient.
