They are as rare as Mallomars are on the West Coast (California) and some addicts will pay through the nose just to get them once in a while. I called Hostess Cakes which now owns Drake's Cakes but they concurred that they were only available on the East Coast and they couldn't even tell me where they were sold in NYC, so I gave up and ordered these. This is ridiculous. I left Jersey in 1984, and paid dearly for them once, but would never do again. I guess I go without, as this is nowhere near a value. There is PLENTY of demand on the west coast...they really should consider distribution out here because I certainly can't afford a simple treat at these MAFIOSO prices! |
