It seems as though they were not properly sewn/glued down. I purchased a Size 5 shoe, which I know is the correct size for my son's feet, and their sizing is true. We often get comments on how cute this shoe is. It is also very comfortable, particularly in hot weather. It gets uncomfortably warm in Texas and the open hole design of this sandal allows my son to keep his feet cool and breezy but still supported (as he's a very unsteady soon-to-be-walker).
