I've rebuilt several of these now, but I'm always on guard because this kind of swap-out can turn ugly real fast. When I originally started purchasing these cases I read all the reviews and the opinions can vary quite a bit depending on the technical skill of the person ordering. These are replica cases. The fact that they are made in China is irrelevant. Nintendo's cases are made in China, too. The difference is that these cases weren't made FOR Nintendo and therefore aren't governed by Nintendo's quality assurance team. The noticeable issue will come from the buttons and accessory components. The stylus, L/R buttons, and the GBA port cover are just a titch different than the original components. This can produce a tighter fit than an original case. Hyper-perfectionists should be ready. Great DS Shell for the cost. May need some steady hands to install but I had no choice but to do it since my kids cracked the stock cover. I used some of the original shell parts and some of the new ones. There was no problem getting the pieces to fit together. The finish is pretty similar to the original metallic rose finish. |
