I bought one set for my dog, a miniature dachshund, and one set for my wheel chair, so we can be seen when we go out at night. He, my dog, walks without a leash, and stays within 3 feet of my chair at all times, thank goodness my little buddy is well trained, as he's black and small, and could easily be missed or lost. We live on a rural rode in upstate New York, where there are no sidewalks and no street lamps so these little lights are perfect to keep us safe and seen, from quite a far distance. They have two modes, well three if you count off, the first being a steady stream, one red and one white, the second being a rapid flash, we keep ours on flash. They come in packs of two, one white or clear, and the other red, they are made of a solid waterproof opaque plastic representing the defined colors that allows you to see the inner workings of the device, just a circuit board attached to a battery and an led bulb, but somehow impressive... It is a very simple design with an elastic strap attached to the back of the light. You pull the strap around the bar, and it hooks around a ridge in the plastic just behind the LED. They are not bright enough to light your path down a dark sidewalk, but they will make your stroller very visible to cars when you are crossing the street at an intersection. The red light's going strong but the white one has already almost burned out after just 3 evening walks. I bought a pair of these hoping that they'd be great for my evening jaunts. And I was actually wanting 2 pairs for myself and 2 for my walking buddy, but thought I'd just try out one set first and am glad I did because I won't be buying any more of these. Instead, I'm now using a bike headlight that I can clamp onto my BOB stroller's handle bar. I still would love more of these mini lights for added visibility, but it won't be this particular brand. |
